12lbs to lose - tips?

Hello ^.^
I’m down from 140 to 128, going for 116. MFP has given me a goal of 1,200, but the last week I’ve been incredibly hungry so just eating at maintenance. Anyway, is there anyone else with relatively smaller amounts to lose that wants to be friends? Or if anyone can recommend some filling lower calorie foods? I’m not in any real rush to meet my goal, but I seem to be finding it harder and harder to eat at a deficit. 12lbs seems like such a small amount to lose.. but at the same time it’s hard not to get frustrated at slow progress.

Think about this last leg of loss, as practice for maintenance. If you can't handle a weekly loss of 0.5 pounds or less, maintaining your goal weight will be hard.
I can't really recommend any filling low calorie foods; I like to focus on balance and variety and subscribe to the "anything in moderation" principle. An appropriate amount of calories shouldn't leave you starving - make sure you've selected the slowest rate of loss. 1200 is the minimum MFP allows and also the default if you've chose a too aggressive rate.0 -

Have a read through the (long and getting longer) refeed thread http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10604863/of-refeeds-and-diet-breaks
Good information in there, especially for women.3 -

Start at 1450 and see what the scales do. Just bare in mind that water weight can easily mask the weight loss when you're only working with a small deficit.
I'm on my last 5lbs and it's slow going!
Also loving that my previous comment got a woo... :huh:2 -
Have you tried juicing??? I'm no expert on this but a new organic cold pressed juice bar has opened near me, and I've been having a bottle of juice for lunch. They are about 80 calories for 16 ounces, and the holds me till dinner. I usually have a small breakfast (bacon/eggs), a baby bell cheese for break with occasionally nuts, and my juice for lunch. I like the kale/beets/etc combo. Just a thought as it's really working for me right now7

I think it's smart to look at your meal pattern, and you can fine tune it to your appetite - to some extent - but if you're genuinely, continuously hungry - and not just bored or not used to not feeling full all the time - something is off. How fast have you been losing for the last couple of weeks? Are you getting in your "five a day" and plenty of protein and fat?0 -

First, I want to congratulate you on your accomplishments so far. You should be proud. Regarding your question, have you been drinking enough water?0
