So I can't run right now due to some injury issues, but I'm fine to aqua jog, which is what I'll be doing this afternoon. Thing is, I can't wear my HRM in the pool. Anyone have a decent idea of what the calorie burn is for aqua jogging? For details...I'm about 155lbs, 5'10", and I'll be wearing one of those flotation belt things.
Thanks!
Thanks!

What HRM are you using? I have an FT7 and I use it in the water all the time- the only caveat I've read is that you shouldn't push the buttons when it's underwater or water may leak into the works.
I know that "running" in water runs my heart rate up pretty high- my swim stroke is a lazy breast stroke and jogging in the water results in a higher heartbeat than swimming. An approximation might be the calorie burn for moderate swimming.0 -
I'm using a Garmin Forerunner 305. Even if I might be able to get away with using it in the water I'd be mini panicking the whole time. That thing is my baby.0
