Have ~25 left to lose, should I switch to TDEE-20%?

I started my weight loss at 340lbs and have lost 140lbs so far, started by using SparkPeople and then switched to MFP. Now that I have ~20-25 pounds left to go, I'm wondering if I'll be better off switching from the MFP 2lb/week model to TDEE-20%.
I've gone though Insanity 1.5 times, followed a lower calorie diet and ate back the calories burned but have since switched to another program because of some knee problems. Monday, Wednesday, Friday is weights (about 30 minutes or so) and off days are 30-40 minutes of cardio.
I'm a ~202lbs, 5'10" , 43 year old male. For those interested the workout program I'm currently following is the Men's Health DeltaFit Speedshred system using 50lb PowerBlock weights. http://www.menshealth.com/deltafit/
So what do you think?

Your TDEE on Moderate activity is 2977.
-20% = 2381 or a daily deficit of 595 calories, which is just over 1lb lost per week.
You could also just change your MFP settings to lose 1lb a week and log and eat back your exercise calories, the gross calories will be very close to the same as the TDEE-20% method.0 -
This might sound like a **** answer but why fix what's not broken? Keep doing what's been working best for you until it no longer works. Keep in mind to recalculate based on your current stats but past that why change? Just the mental stimulation of doing something different? Maybe your body soaks up the placebo affect of change? Nothing wrong with that, if it works it works.0

Because he no longer weighs enough for 2lbs a week to be appropriate for him. Trying to maintain too high of a caloric deficit daily is counter intuitive to fat loss.0 -
He is at 5'10 200 pounds, probably plus or minus 5 pounds water weight. 2 pounds a week is just fine still. If he got to around 165 or so then your logic may be worth entertaining. Go tell your deficiet logic to a holocaust survivor and let me know how that goes.0

I'd do MFP 'lose 1 lb a week' before switching to TDEE, or it will be a huge calorie increase.0

I'm not here to argue with people who have limited knowledge on human Physiology and Anatomy.
Please try a different forum if you'd like to spread misinformation and incorrect theories about sensitive subjects.0 -

I did not realize we were arguing, I thought we were having a discussion. Even if that was the case then you seem to be the only one of us that is making assumptions about a strangers knowledge and experience.
Also, just because a subject is sensitive doesn't mean it cannot be used as an example. Simple using an example from a historical event does not do any disservice to it. It not exactly a theory or misinformation there either buddy, it is a simple concept. Less intake nets weight loss. Not a hard concept.
Maybe it is you that needs to try a different forum if you cannot handle disagreeing with someone. The holy than though stance just doesn't seem to look right on you.0 -
Thanks for your replies. I guess I'm asking because what has been working isn't working as well as it used to and I don't want to look like a holocaust survivor when I reach my goal. My end goal is to lose fat for now and then add muscle as I get closer to my goal. I'd like to be around 20%bf, any less would probably be unrealistic for me I think.0
