Fat and Sodium: Gotta get rid of these high numbers!

Hello Everyone. My name is Bonnie and I really thought I ate good but, after entering my breakfast food on MyFitnessPal for this morning, I'm already over my fat limit by 30 points. After entering my lunch food, my sodium intake is over 800 points for the day! I'm really doing good on my sugar intake, though. I'm shocked! Good bye bacon, cheese, butter, dairy creamer, and salt of all kind! Poopie; eating is about to get really boring!

Out of curiosity, is there a reason you're trying to keep your fat low? I always treat my fat goal here on MFP as a minimum to reach every day instead of a maximum to stay under. Unless you're under doctor's orders to stay low, it might not be such a big deal that you're over a bit.0

I ignore the sodium one and see fat as a minimum.0

My n=1; I routinely go wayyyyy over my sodium (I have more of a salt tooth than a sweet one and my snacks reflect this), but my blood pressure keeps going down as my weight drops.0

If you're new to this and aren't watching fat/sodium for medical reasons, just focus on your calories for right now. Once you have your logging down, then you can play around with macros. The percentages given when you sign up are just a default, you can change them however you'd like. You still should be reaching a minimum of .35-.4 grams of fat per pound of body weight.1
