Can you please help with above injury! It’s on my son and he’s not sure how it happened. He plays a lot of football and wears football type runners to. Can anyone tell me what it’s from or if it’s infected, and also how to clear it up. I thought maybe all you runners have maybe come across it before??

I'm a runner and if I had that on my foot, I'd get to a doctor. Double that if it was on the foot of a child I was responsible for caring for.

It looks badly bruised, but it could be infected. A doctor is the proper person to diagnose it.
If it happens to spread up his foot or he gets a fever, don't go to the doctor, go to an emergency department immediately.

    +1 in the doctor.
I have eczema I my right big toe. I occasionally get cracked skin from it. I have prescription meds to deal with flare ups.
