Friends, one of my 2018 goals is to get strong and increase strength training. I usually do body pump class at gym but not getting enough schedule sync up. I want to do more strength training on my own at gym. The machines intimidate me. Can you suggest any videos or program that can help me do strength training on my own at gym. Thank you and happy new year!

Ignore the machines. Go for a beginners free weight program from the link above.

Machines are fine, maybe not optimal but they shouldn't be at all intimidating.
Doesn't your gym offer an induction session for you to learn how to use the machines and free-weights properly and set up a program to match your goals?

Gold standard would be a free-weight beginner program (from list posted above) but doing something is a huge step up from doing nothing!

Once you learn the basic lifts, free weights seems less complicated than finding your way around numerous machines. I like Stronglifts 5x5 because of its simplicity. You can always add in accessory lifts later.

I have just bought a book "strong curves" which was recommended to me by a few people, it looks good
