How much exercise is too much?

I ask this question because I have decided that I should really kick it in gear.

Generally I run 3-7 miles about 3-4 times a week and then do other things like riding my bike or walking. Though now I have decided to run on lunch, 30 minutes, ride my bike to work, plus run 5-13 miles (1/2 marathon in Sept to train for).

Is this too much and too drastic or okay as long as I am eating properly and take the much needed rest day every once in awhile?

Thoughts please.

I'm no doctor, but as long as you are eating properly, and aren't below your recommended weight, and are avoiding injuries, I think you are O.K. It's an issue I don't think I have to worry about - I have the opposite problem - I have to make sure I'm getting ENOUGH exercise.

Usually your body will tell you if it's too much. You'll either feel tired all the time...or get injured. Just listen to your body.

If you have to ask if its too much then its not. Listen to yout body. You will know when its too much.
