Calories Added On For Exercise?

I have this app connected to my Fitbit to count steps, and it seems to be adding on a large amount of calories. Does anyone else have these issues, and is it accurate? I did go in and enable negative calorie adjustments but didn’t seem to change anything.

The amount of the Fitbit Calorie Adjustment could be rather large if you are set at a low MFP Activity Level, but you have taken a lot more steps or done a lot of other activity for the day above the estimated MFP Activity Level.

You will start getting a positive Fitbit Calorie Adjustment when the Fitbit estimate has exceeded the estimated amount of Calories burned based on your MFP Activity Setting and weight loss rate. If you are set at Sedentary (Not Very Active), you should start seeing a positive adjustment for the whole day above 2500 to 3000 steps. If you are set at Lightly Active, you may not get a positive adjustment until you reach about 5000 steps. Higher MFP Activity Levels require higher number of steps before the adjustment becomes positive.

I have negative adjustments enabled, so when I get up and have not done many steps, my adjustment is negative. As I move around, the adjustment increases throughout the day and usually turns positive.

I would recommend reading through the first three posts in this thread on the MFP Fitbit Users group...
