Hi there everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself and hope to learn more about healthy weight loss. I'm a recovering type 2 diabetic who admits to being a carb-a-holic and way too much into food for her own good. I just plain enjoy it! But I hope to enjoy it differently in 2018. I have a lot of poundage to drop and realize it could take a couple of years. For right now my goal is 50 pounds before next year. But I want to do it in a healthy, lifetime maintainable way.

I also have a problem with ITP (low platelets) and a slow thyroid (this is being helped with the inclusion of iodized salt into my diet, so thankfully no synthroid!). Thus far still on the "safe" side of ITP with the last count being 90K. So there's some foods I must have, like pom juice and such. But otherwise, doing pretty good.

I plan on exercising. For now though, no gym. I think walking is going to be good enough just to get me going. My Mom always said that making changes comes best one change at a time. So for now, going to focus on feeding.

Anyway, I'm sure this is TMI for most of you lol. But thanks for the welcomes and I hope everyone has a great time and much success here!
