Do I eat the extra calories that are given from daily steps??

That confuses me lol. Isn’t the daily steps already factored in when choosing activity level?0

Up to a certain point, yes. If you're set to sedentary that's about 3000-5000 steps. What's really happening is MFP is reading your activity tracker's total calories burned and giving you an adjustment based on that.3

Assuming you've told MFP your daily activity level (Sedentary etc) then just stick to the number it gives you. If you set out on a dedicated exercise sesh (walking, weights or whatever) and track it then feel free to eat part of or all of the calories it gives you for the additional exercise. Don't be afraid to eat your calories. You want to make this as easy and painless as possible so you can stick to it. If you aren't loosing weight after say two weeks then subtract calories from your total and repeat. This isn't an exact science but once you get the hang of it it works a treat1
