In the process of starting a diet and exercise regimen. Any advice or tips would be great!

It’s tuff... but once you get used to the app, and counting calories it just becomes second nature... in 1 year and 3 months I’ve lost 38 pounds. It may seem slow, but my skin, hair and emotions have been much better too. I would say this isn’t a “quick fix”... it’s a tool to help you see your daily habits and make life changes... my ding dong husband is even starting to like my alternative foods. My kids just eat what I serve (for the most part). It’s certainly a journey... and if you stick with it, you will see results. I went from a size 32 jean to a 25... I’m pretty happy with that. Find a way of eating you can see yourself sticking to even after the weight comes off. In other words, don't give up foods you love. There may be foods you want to save for special occasions, but the key is to not feel deprived.
I keep my desserts to 200 calories/serving or fewer. I eat mostly healthy. But I have two nephews in the same city where I live. They both have birthdays. And I make room for a piece of cake at each one. When Hannukah comes, I fit in half a jelly donut at a party. Treats aren't cheats. They're choices.
And exercise can improve your mood, which reduces stress and emotional eating. It also takes up a chunk of your time, which reduces boredom eating. AND it gives you more calories in your budget. So you really can enjoy a few indulgences totally guilt-free!1
