Well - it's a new year. I was really upset over the holidays when I had trouble fitting into an airline seat. Yes - I know they're small - but, holy cow! Literally. I've got to lose some weight.
I'm 60. Kids are gone. My biggest obstacle to losing weight is my husband - well, actually, the fact that he enjoys going out to eat. I love him - so leaving him isn't an option - so I guess i'd better learn about portion control. I am setting that as my goal - oh, and losing weight. I'd like to lose about 40 pounds. I think I'm starting ok - I have a trainer at the gym - and I'm counting calories. I do love this site - very easy to use. Wish me luck!

Hi! I'm 49 and starting over again!! I find my weight loss to be challenging partly because of my family as well. My husband also needs to lose and he is trying to take it more seriously now too, but we have very different philosophies about weight loss. Two of my three boys are in college but I still have one more to tend to for couple more years. Feel free to add me as a friend and we'll see how we do! I probably need to lose 80-90 lbs. but I'd be happy with 60!
