Returning but now with thyroid issues

I am returning after being diagnosed with hyperthyroidism last summer. I had radioactive iodine to kill off the thyroid in October because I couldn't take the medications. I'm now on my way to being hypothyroid. I just started Synthroid. I've gained back 8 of the 15 pounds I had lost. I decided I needed to take more control. I also have osteoarthritis which causes discomfort in many of my joints. Even though there are days I am so tired I could fall asleep standing up, it was time to make a change. I am trying to watch what I eat especially the carbs and exercise more. I start my swim class tomorrow. Looking forward to a new and better New Year!

How has your blood work looked? It could take up to a year to get thyroid levels optimized (not the not just in range but optimized - what works best for you on levels may not for me)1
