Re-starting in Switzerland

Hi all,
I'm giving myself a 'new year - new start' kick and trying to get into shape / get healthier before I hit the big 50 in 2 years time.
I am about to have a Achilles lengthening surgery which will limit my exercise for a little while (an has limited my exercise already for the last 6 months or so) so I hope tracking those pesky calories will help me at least keep my weight stable if not help to loose a few kg during the recovery time... also getting to and from the fridge will be exhausting on one foot !!
I already eat relatively healthily as I cook almost everything I eat from scratch... my problem is that I just eat too much of it, so I'm hoping portion control will be my friend.
I would love to meet new people to share food diaries, cooking tips or just any motivation ideas with. feel free to add me. I will make my diary open to friends.
