Oh, the shame!

Several weeks ago I noticed and bought a box of Ronzoni SuperGreens rotini.

Yesterday I finally got a round tuit and researched the nutrition in that green pasta.

According to the nutrition label, the SuperGreens Enriched pasta with Spinach, Zucchini, Broccoli, Parsley & Kale provides 0% of the daily RDA of Vitamin A and Vitamin C. 0%.

All the other nutritional value comes from the standard fortification of refined wheat.

If adding powdered chloroplasts of green vegetables is nothing more than food coloring, don't waste your money.

Gah! I hate when that happens. I'm a pretty avid label reader but it still gets me now and then. ::grumble::

But it's green and has the word "super" in the name. it has to be healthier!!!

For the longest time I just assumed that spinach tortillas were the healthier option. Sadly, no.

I think Kroger sells a veggie rotini with some vitamins in it if you're interested. I can't find the label online, sadly. Just this:
