Whey powder as powdered milk sub?

I’ve actually used it in my coffee bc I was out of almond milk one morning and it was super tasty. However depending on your recipe and protein powder you use it may make it a bit sweet since there is usually some type of sweetener added.0

According to an article on a site called SFGate , you can substitute whey concentrate for non-fat dry milk in baked goods, protein gram for protein gram (which is a big volume difference because dry milk granules are big and fluffy, and whey concentrate granules are smaller and denser). It also advises using a lower baking temperature.
Your whey protein powder may have other stuff (flavors, sweetener) that would affect the taste. I use a whey concentrate from Bob's Red Mill that has nothing else in it.0
