Just bought my first protein powder! I’ve tried shakeology before (chocolate) and it was your typical “good for you, doesn’t taste great but I’m going to convince myself I like this” taste. Of course in my beginning days I had tried slim fast (I know, not protein), but you know how all those kinds of things have that same familiar funky flavor. So imagine my surprise when I had THIS!
Right now, I am sipping on my dinner replacement shake made with Quest vanilla milkshake protein powder and I feel like I am eating ice cream!!! I based it loosely on one I had found from dashing dish (Reese’s peanut butter shake). Here’s what I’m dining on this evening:
1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese
1 scoop quest vanilla milkshake protein powder
2 tablespoons peanut butter (next time I’ll use Pb2)
2 tablespoons ovaltine (didn’t have unsweetened cocoa so I improvised)
1/2 cup water
5-10 ice cubes
Put it all in my nutribullet and blended it up and it was love at first sip! Of course next time it may not be quite as decadent because of the subs, but hey I know it’s here when I have room to splurge! So happy I just had to share. Leave me your favorite recipe if you’d like! Cheers everyone!

Quite a bit since I used real pb but it fit into my day just fine. Here are the stats: 420 cal / 26 carb / 19 fat / 42 protein. With the PB2 instead it would be 285 cal / 23 carb / 4.5 fat / 40 protein1
