    One was the son of the man who owned the grocery store in town. Another was the dentist's son, one was in my brother grade. There was also two Olympic skiers who came from there too. I had a boss once who met one of them at a dinner and I was like oh I know them haha

    There have been a few NHL players that have come from Newfoundland as well

    I guess it's a Canadian thing. I taught the sister of a guy who was rookie of the year a few years ago. He also skated at the club where i taught but I guess after I quit teaching
