Hello! I am hoping to find some friends that have had luck in losing weight with hypothyroidism. I had been gaining weight for years and eventually found out that I had a tumor in my thyroid. Luckily, it was removed and was not cancer. The past two years have been spent getting my medicine in order, but now, I am ready to start losing weight. Any help that could be given would be appreciated as I was told it would be very hard to lose weight without my thyroid. Thank you!

    I have hypothyroidism and am on the first leg of my medicine journey. Just was diagnosed 2 months ago. Doctor said the dose of medication will most likely need to increase. I too had been gaining weight for about a year. My doc said that the medication would probably help in the weight loss. Feel free to friend me and we can compare notes as we go along. -- Michele
