Looking for good strength training ideas to boost my Metabolism. I currently just walk....some days allot like 9miles. But, I want to do something to gain muscle to burn more calories. Any ideas....I thought about yoga or lifting weights...not really weights, but my elliptical has a weight thing on it that I could use.

Stronglifts is a good weight lifting program, it's what I'm doing currently. Just be sure to watch your form so you don't injure yourself.0

Dianne is right. If Dianne promotes an older thread, read it. This is a really, really good one. Stronglifts may be right for you. But one of the other good programs may suit you better.0
