Interesting. I know KETO is very popular, and I tried it for a while, but it honestly was no improvement over not doing KETO but still watching calories for me. It wasn't worse either. Just didn't rrallt seem to do much for me at all. But friend has has more success than I did. We laugh though, because so far were have been losing at exactly the same rate.

Keto seems to be most effective as a weight loss diet for those with insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome. For people who are metabolically healthy, keto offers no advantage beyond a possible dampening of appetite and cravings.
Keto has its place but it isn't for everyone.
I'm not surprised they ranked keto low since it is high fat (most nutritionists still see this as dangerous) and they think it is high protein and dangerous for those with kidney and liver issues - odd since lchf is an effective treatment for NAFLD. The article, and judges, seem pretty rah rah on "eating more fruits and vegetables, as well as whole grains, fish, legumes, nuts and low-fat dairy foods," and they like DASH because it advises you to "eat more veggies, fruits and low-fat dairy foods while cutting way back on any food high in saturated fat and limit your intake of salt." ... That's almost the anti-keto diet. LOL3 -
Incredible about how they can get away with publishing that keto forces you to eat lots of protein and makes you sick from carbs restriction...it makes you feel great!2
