Im struggling with a bad knee

I had an MRI done on Tuesday to look for a possible torn medial meniscus in my right knee. Ive been limping for about 2 weeks now. I really want to work out but walking at a fast pace just makes my knee hurt. I swim on the days the pain is tolerable but thats not been for a week. What kind of exercises can I do until I get my knee sorted out? I was really enjoying my 2 mile walks until this happened I was in a workout groove and now Im out of it. :grumble:
