Starting back

34 yr, 142 lbs, 68 in tall slim and an ER Nurse. I’m trying to start back my elliptical training. I could only do ten min today due to healing from the flu. Motivation is an obstacle for me. Any tips?

Keep trying, progressively push yourself to go longer periods. Maybe try a new exercise if you think you might be bored with the elliptical, in the end it's all about telling yourself to just do it. I was taken down hard by flu, getting back was tough cuz I liked being lazy during that time but I'm still working hard to keep myself from being sedentary. Taking up lifting got me motivated because it's something new and challenging.0

I think you sound motivated when you exercise just recovering from the flu. Or maybe the eliptical just isn't that exciting. Use it as warm-up (10 min is fine) and do some other stuff too. (This is just rambling, go to the exercise forum for real advice.

System is fighting the flu. So less energy etc is expected. I always feel like crap running during/after sickness. But it goes away. And your endurance builds. And life is good. Just stick with it. Stay consistent. Drink lots of water0
