    Hello Ashley, http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10628464/how-fat-loss-works#latest

If you do not have a kitchen scale for weighing food, get one. They are usually less than $20. You can buy one at a local general store and you can buy one on-line. There are many varieties. Please take my advice that you choose one which uses AA or AAA batteries, has a 'tare' function, handles 11 lb, and measures grams.

https://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/search/list This is where you find information about food.

http://www.convertunits.com This is how you convert units from things like teaspoons to grams. There's 3 different kinds of blocks, and it will convert them all to light-years if you want. That would be weird.

You don't have to weigh every day, but if you do you'll see frequently frustrating fluctuations. It's data, anyway.

Read all the sticky messages at the top of the discussion topics. They are sticky because they are very valuable.

Be honest and accurate with your food diary. Once you see and learn what you're putting in and how it makes you feel, you can decide what to change.

You really can continue eating what you like, just a little less, and lose weight. You can also choose to experiment with other foods.
