Ok its Monday July 12th and I am starting over. I fell off the wagon over the July 4th weekend. I stopped working out and eat all the fatty food I love. As a result I put the 4 lbs I lost over the past month. Well I need to dig deep and find my motivation again. Someone help

I lst my motivation about a month ago when the kids got out of school. I thought it'd be easier with them being home but I lost my schedule in the mix.I know exactly how you feel. I got to my 18lb mark and got too comfortable and gained 2lbs back. We're all here for the same reason. We just gotta keep encouraging one another. You can do this!!!0

Don't look back. That is my advice. Who cares if you fell off for a weekend. Just pick back up where you started. You will lose it again, and knowing that it was easy to gain back will help you to stay more focused this time. I fell off the wagon for a month. We were selling/buying a house, and I just didn't have time or energy to work out. I gained back about 3 of the 25 pounds that I had lost, but I was really bummed about it. I was so frustrated that I think it kept me from getting back on the wagon for another week after. So, I started back up last week after about 5 weeks of doing whatever I wanted. It has been tough to get my motivation back, but everyone here is so great. I am sure that you will jump right back on the horse and lose those few pounds that you gained back. Good Luck! I am rooting for you.0

Look at your goals again and see what motivated you in the first place. Then make it all a habit. You can do it. Just take one step and one small goal at a time!0

I too am looking for some motivation. I don't want to exercise tonight. No, nothing long term but I don't want it to turn into that. It's TOM week which can sometimes turn into letting myself go for 2 weeks.
My advice is to force yourself for a few days to workout and plan a weeks worth of healthy meals. Then do it again next week. It will become habit. Another thing I did a few weeks ago was look back at my food diary to see what I did when I lost.
I like what debnu1 said about looking at your goals again. I think I'll do that right now. Thanks!0 -
I say just jump right back in, don't look back, but learn from it. Your story is my story...I've lost 20 - 25 lbs before on and off....I got comfortable because all of my clothes were loose. I just gained it back by going back to my old habits. My life is financially strained right now and I would normally just go and eat the bag of chocolate, but I've been staying on track and not letting if affect what I put in my mouth.0
