Trying to become a healthier me!

So I just turned 43 and over the past 5 years, pounds seem to be creeping up on me way to fast. I dont know how many times Ive tried to stick to healthy eating only to drop and get run over by the wagon itself. Im starting over yet again and really hoping this time my willpower stays strong. I've decided that with an implanted heart defibulator and fibromyalgia to boot, I have to get this weight off for GOOD! Hoping to befriend some people who can help keep me motivated and vise versa! Take care!!!

Excess weight, not even a deadly health scare, is enough for most people to lose and maintain weight.

Willpower and motivation are blunt tools in weight management.

Trying is not the same as doing, and for weight loss to occur, you have to do, not just try and hope.

Healthy eating is getting enough of everything and not too much of anything, and paying attention to nutrition while at the same time feel relaxed and eat food you enjoy.

You need to come up with a plan that makes you hit your calorie target, for real, consistently, and for a long time. MFP tells you how much to eat, you decide what and when to eat. People can give advice, you have to make decisions and stick to it.
