My brain is fighting back

Had a good 1st week and lost some weight but feel hungry a lot, I try to eat higher protein meals but hungry after 2 hours. And I have this nagging unease all the time.
I am an over eater so it this psychological or am I just going to have to get used to this feeling?

    Perhaps your eating too little calories? How are you taking your intake?

    What are you eating? Protein and fiber together help get full faster and keep you full longer. Or, you could try volume eating.

    I'm trying to find higher protein items. I think I need a better food education

    I’ve found sometimes I need diary fat. Even adding protein, sometime I just get too far out on a LF limb. Leads to a lot of agitated snacking.

    It's not a good week if you feel hungry a lot. What is your calorie target, and did you hit it?
    A nutritious diet is balanced, so don't just focus on protein.
    Because hunger is a feeling, it's individual, subjective, situational and habitual.
    If you are eating too little, you'll become more and more hungry, not used to it.
    If you are eating enough, and decide to, you can get used to, and even learn to appreciate, hunger.
    Feeling uneasy is normal and to be expected when we do something new. It's not dangerous.
    Eating too little, over time, is dangerous. The most imminent danger for an overweight person, is rebound overeating. Long term danger is malnutrition.

    I had a look at your food diary - without checking each item for accuracy (that's your job, you have the labels), it seems to me that you're eating enough calorie-wise, and balanced macro-wise, but you could try to replace some of the chocolate, cookies and bars with fruit, vegetables and nuts. Those kinds of foods have more nutrients, so you will feel less hungry. Just don't overdo it so that you remove everything you like; feeling deprived will make you want to quit. It' a balancing act.
