Starting over...again

Looking for people to help keep me motivated and on track. I’m a mom of 3 and finding time to workout can be hard. I’m trying to lose about 15lbs. I had lost about ten pounds then gained almost all of it back over the past few months. Looking forward to getting back on track and achieving what I know I can do with a little dedication.

You lose weight by being in a consistent calorie deficit, and most people manage that by mainly focusing on diet, not on exercise. If 15 pounds is all you have to lose, they will come off slowly - half a pound to a pound per week on average, and you can't expect to see your loss as a straight line, even if you do everything perfectly all the time, and don't expect to do that, either.
Don't go on and off track. When you hit goal weight, you have to keep doing what you're doing, forever, just eating a couple of hundred calories more, if you want to maintain weight. So don't look outside for motivation. Your lifestyle should motivate you. After all, you just have to eat a little less. You can still eat food you enjoy, and you don't have to exercise unless you want to.
Set up MFP to lose 1 pound per week. Log everything you eat. Log correctly. Hit your calorie target every day. Weigh yourself regularly. Adjust calorie target after you've lost 10 pounds, and repeat. That's all you have to do. But it's challenging enough. Don't make it harder.2 -
Nicole Marie -The previous post has good advice. I would disagree with the " you don't have to exercise unless you want to" comment - while you can loose weight without exercising, you will do much better if you exercise - the idea is to lose fat and keep muscle -to do that you need to exercise - the best way is to lift weights -if joining a gym doesn't work for you can do it at home. Go outside and run around with your kids. And put the beer down - that doesn't help you 1 bit. Eastcoast Jim1

This! Can't noone have said it better ;P
It is true that you don't HAVE to exercise unless you want to, but it's highly recommended that you do so you have more of a toned look to your body instead of looking 'skinny fat' when you hit your goal.
I'm about 20 pounds away from my goal and already see the skinny fatness showing up1
