I gained 33 pounds last year.

I'm walking 1 hour 2 times a week to start.

I'm going to follow my calorie counter which seems low for my size. 1350 is that right?

    That does sound about right. I’m about 35 pounds less and I’m sticking to a 1200 calorie day.

    I'm pretty sure that will send my body into starvation mode. I should have at least 1800.

    If that's the case I might as well do my high school no more than 500 calories a day.

    I had a bag of chips, a chocolate bar for breakfast every morning and picked at whatever my mom cooked at night or didn't eat at all. I'm going to try that. Same principle and very satisfying.

    You would be losing weight with anything less than about 2300 calories I think (TDEE)
