OK, how do you motivate yourself to exercise when that TOM is here, I have motivation issues to exercise at all times, but that TOM is even more difficult, working out doesn't help with cramps so that doesn't help motivate me...I've gotten to the point where I don't even try to workout for those days anymore. Any one with ideas?

I feel it eases mine so much I do kettlebells which may be a bit intense even just get out and go for a walk sometimes fresh air makes you feel fab if you know when your cycle is try working out a couple days before too it helps keep the pain at bay :) xx

I suppose there are two options: deliberately plan to take the time off and forgive yourself for it, or plan some gentle exercise for that day and just do it. Maybe make it your deep stretching or new route to walk days. There’s a lot going on in your body and mind at this time and you definitely don’t need to beat yourself up about it. But vigorous exercise can help some people - and it will also be different on the second day of your cycle compared to the last. Above all be kind to yourself and make a plan! The good news is that better eating and more movement help regulate women’s hormonal cycles over time.
