What do you think?

I've heard you shouldn't be a slave to the scale. So I've decided to my measure my weight loss with an old pair of jeans. Last year in December (2016), two months after carrying twins I decided to see if I could fit into an old pair of jeans. Sadly I did not. I wasn't to disappointed though because I kind of had an idea that they wouldn't fit. As time went on I was able to get them on, eventually zip them up (having to lay down on the bed to do so). Most recently October/November no longer having to lay down to zip them up but still had some serious muffin top action going. This past December my husband and I went out for dinner. I decided to wear the old jeans even though I could now pull and zip them up they were still very tight around the waist and even more uncomfortable. As soon as dinner was over and we were back in the car I unbuttoned them with great relief. Lol.
The last 2 weeks of December I came across a small gym not more than 10 minutes from my house and they were offering a free 2 week trial. Went for the class for those 2 weeks changed my eating habits (I have an insatiable sweet tooth) so this was not easy for me but I did my best. Put on the jeans this morning out of curiosity. Wow. Even with turning 42 this past Wednesday and having a little more cake then I probably should have. I know I can keep going with this. I remember a lot of the exercises I learned in the classes I took and of course I can always go to YouTube for videos. Anyone have any suggestions? I've also heard focusing on non scale victories can be motivating. So for me I consider my first non scale victory to be my mindset.
I know this will not happen overnight it will take time and discipline. ☺
