Weekends are a struggle for me and I find myself needing some extra encouragement today. I'm at home on a cold winter day with a baby under 1. All I can think about is eating! Any advice for making it through a tough food day?

A couple ideas... Coffee. Even a broth warmed up. Raw veggies will give you a full feeling. My fave is broccoli. Oatmeal and if I am really hungry, I add a vegan protein powder to it to fill me up. Want sweets - frozen peaches, or jello or no sugar Popsicle. Distract yourself - warm shower, book, or a great movie.

I’m right there with you. I do great all week and struggle when the family is home on weekends. I’m taking it one meal at a time. Feel free to add me

I too can relate. Weekends area struggle as I have my two step children who are teenagers. They enjoy the “traditional” teenage food ... pizza, hamburgers, hotdogs, etc. I try to stick with healthier food options for myself but the struggles are there.

Feel free to add me as well - I need all the support I can get.

I think we’ve all been there. Food is always on my mind. Try drinking a full bottle of water and waiting an hour and see how you feel. If you are still hungry have some popcorn or carrot sticks or just something to get you through to the next meal. I support you❤️

Can you get out anyway? Take a brisk walk, even if its just around the block? If its raining baby will probably enjoy jumping in the puddles and if its snowing jumping in the snow.

If not: trying doing some squats or pushups, a bit of exercise always helps me hold the hunger at bay. Drinking some water, or some tea (or coffee) is always a good option.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, it have been too cold even for a brisk walk. Today the wind chill is below zero. I have been drinking more coffee when craving snacks, but I like creamer in my coffee - so I do have to watch that. I should definitely add more water to my diet and get some healthy, crunchy veggies to have on hand!

I can't allow myself to just sit around on weekends as I would eat out of boredom. I have to be out doing stuff, which includes exercise...but just doing stuff in general.

Bank calories during the week for the weekend. Keep busy/ moving.
It's really easy to undo the weekday calorie deficit in a weekend so plan ahead and prepare.
