Figure out why you are losing motivation, are you doing exercise/activity you enjoy? It's difficult to keep up motivation if the thought of getting on an exercise bike or going for a run bores the living daylights out of you. Choose an activity that you enjoy.

Depending on what your goals are, you may not need to work out 5 days a week, going for a half hour walk could be just as beneficial as heading to the gym, you don't need to be doing crazy amounts of workouts to lose weight.

On days that I just can't follow through on my planned workout, I always have walking. I put on a podcast that helps me zone out and just go. It might not be that moderate cardio level of heart rate, but I'm still moving more than I would be on the couch at home. Or, I will choose something else that I know I enjoy - for instance, a dance-inspired workout to do in my recroom without having to look presentable. Sometimes I will even throw on a ten-minute trainer video because it's STILL beneficial and it's STILL better than nothing. I've never regretted it.

My personal motto is "Keep showing up for yourself". If you're not doing it for you right now, do it for future you. You deserve it.

I adopt the philosophy - just move more and try and make that movement enjoyable :) I live too far from a gym - or anything else really but I do have beautiful walks - so mostly that is what I do, interspersed with the occasional aerobic and toning dvd. If weather truly atrocious I download a powerwalk video instead and do it while watching crud tv. I try go swimming once a week but school holidays can make my local pool unpleasant and I get sea sick swimming in the sea
