New and needing advice/support

Hello friends. I’ve been on this app on and off but I’m taking it seriously now. I want to shape up and lose inches of fat around my waist. Most especially the visceral fat which I know is difficult to get rid of. I have no problem exercising, that’s the easy part. But my diet/lifestyle is terrible. This year I want to plan meals and really keep up. I’m just not sure where to start. What’s worked for everyone else?

    Get an appropriate calorie target - set up MFP to lose the closest you get to 1% of your body weight per week. Then plan meals you want to eat, prelog, and hit your calorie target. Find some exercise or other physical activity you think is so fun/easy/challenging that you want to continue doing it. Get enough sleep and rest.
