How do I add foods I eat all the time to favorites? Is it called my foods? And how would I add the foods in my foods to my diary. Looking for a quick way, I hate having to look them up all the time. I see the list of recent foods underneath but that is always changing, thanks!

When you set up your profile, in settings for food diary, you tell MFP to which tab to add foods you add from the database. Recent or Favorites

When you search a food from the database to add to your diary, it will be added to the tab you had designated to store new food matches.

To put foods into the My Foods tab you actually create the entry yourself, usually for items that are not found in the database.

To select from one of your food lists or from the food database when you enter into your food diary, if you see the food you are logging in one of the lists, just click the checkmark box to add it, and also correct the portion size in the servings box. Then enter.

You get to the database to find food to add to your food diary by entering a food name in the search box ... a window will open up with a list of foods that hit your search and you select by scrolling through the list until you find the entry you want to add. Once you add it, it will go to the designated tab ... Recent or Favorite ... that you set up as a default. You cannot move the items from one list to the other, but you can delete foods from your favorite list ... but not from the recent list.

Sorry, there are no surefire fast ways to do it ... you look, click to select, change servings size and enter ... and before you enter a new food from the database .... it's a good idea to verify entry nutrition panel before you select it.

PS .. to start to add food ... you ADD FOOD to get to the lists in the first place.

Also ... you have tabs for MEALS and RECIPES ... these you create.
To add meals ... you actually select one of the meals and use the Quick Tools to name the meal, or to copy it to a different day. Once you name a meal it will be in MEALS and you can select it from that list. Once you select it, it will go as the original looked into the meal you added it to ... and if need be, you can edit each item from there.

The RECIPES tab is where recipes ingredients you made up in the Recipe Builder are stored. You can only change the serving size of the recipe you select from that list ... but you can go back to the Recipe Builder to alter the recipe if you make it again with different ingredients or servings sizes.
