Daily calorie burn as suggested by activity tracker

So I bit the bullet and bought a Vivosmart 3. It seems to working Ok so far (apart from the clock not being accurate), but the total daily calorie burn is significantly higher than what my old vivosmart would give me. This one has a HR monitor built in, so I would have imagined it's more accurate, but it's so much higher.

So a typical day for me is around 13,000 steps and a 30 minute circuit class. My old vivosmart would give me a total daily burn of around 2050-2100. My new vivosmart 3 would suggest that for 13,600 steps and a 30 minute circuit class I burnt 2600. This is quite different.

Has anyone else had these discrepancies between trackers? I'd like to think the new one is more accurate, but based on my weight loss to date a TDEE of 2100 is far more likely. It's a bit annoying that the new one is so far out.

I have found this too. Approx 16,000 steps is said to burn 228 cals however on further research it seems it's closer to 650...

Can you manually adjust your TDEE with the vivosmart? I know it is possible with the fitbit.

I find my nonHr Garmin trackers all underestimate my burns. I have heard many anecdotes about HR trackers overestimating, so it sounds like a thing. HR and steps are both pretty poor at estimating calorie burn. If you keep good data on your weight and calories in and out, you can figure out which ones more accurate or if you need to adjust the MFP calories to compensate.
