I don't like to use artificial sweeteners but make an exception for dressing. I use any Italian and sprinkle on a pack of Stevie in the raw. At home or eating out. Love the sweet Italian dressings.

I looove those tangy Greek salads you usually find at a pizza place. Ran across a recipe online a while back, and it's now a staple at my house: Shake all this up in a mason jar, no need for refrigeration.

    1/2 cup olive oil
    1/3 cup red wine vinegar
    1-1/4 tsp garlic powder
    1-1/4 tsp dried basil
    1-1/4 tsp dried oregano
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp pepper
    1 tsp onion powder
    1 tsp dijon mustard

I like my salad with cucumber, red onion, pepperoncini, kalamata olives, and a little feta cheese.... and sometimes grilled chicken too. :)

Here are a couple of salad dressings with lower oil content than traditional vinaigrette (3 parts oil to 1 part vinegar or lemon).

Generic Asian: 1 part soy sauce, 1 part balsamic vinegar, 1 part sesame or hazelnut oil
Ranch: Buttermilk, garlic powder, salt & pepper, a little mayo and a little sour cream.
Vietnamese or Thai: Fish sauce, sugar, lime juice, garlic, chilli.

Great ideas! Without doing the trial & error thing myself, does anyone have a version of blue cheese dressing that they like?

Not homemade but this one is my favorite: https://www.litehousefoods.com/products/opa-litehouse-blue-cheese-dressing

    Or this one: https://www.bolthouse.com/product/chunky-blue-cheese/

My favourite creamy salad dressing ingredient is light tahini. Delicious!

I usually mix it with lemon juice and a touch of olive oil, salt, pepper and sometimes I add sumac as well. So so good on roast vegetables, kale or chickpeas. Also a great addition to anything involving lamb. Just be careful because tahini is kinda high cal.

I also second the Vietnamese style dressing with fish sauce and lime. YUM.
