Hello everyone. I have been struggling several years with weight. Had some weight loss success but has been at a stand still a long time...hard to get motivated to make that scale move again! Any suggestions? Thankfully only weight gain of 6 lbs.. but concerned it will continue to rise. Thank you all!

Don't be motivated to lose weight - you'll be going around in circles - your weight isn't something you can't directly control. Find and develop sustainable eating and exercise habits, adjust your attitudes and your environment, and you'll be intrinsically motivated to stick a lifestyle that supports a healthy weight.2

Calculate a modest calorie deficit, start a food diary. Weight and measure what you eat and drink. Track everything every day, not just your good days. When you mess up, math mistakes, mental lapses, poor planning, keep tracking. If you eat out, use NI to figure your calories. When in gray areas make good faith estimates.
Give yourself plenty of time to figure out the tracking learning curve. Think about how you will cope with the time it takes to lose weight. Think about how you will cope when discouraged.
Try to find a livable downward trend. Ride the trend. If your losses stall, make modest adjustments until you start losing again. Good luck.0
