Energy

For the past few months I have been pretty lethargic, my thyroid is fine and I take vitamin D and b12.
No amount of caffeine seems to help with the lack of energy and I just started back up on here so I'm hoping once I get back into the swing of things my energy will rise.
Any suggestions on foods to eat or supplements to take to help with energy?

I don't know your situation, but I'm just coming off a long cancer battle and I find that protein is my salvation. I work with a bunch of teens and 20 somethings and they can't keep up with me or put in the 17 hour days like I do....0

This first: Have you been losing weight? How much in what timeframe? What is your height and current weight? Are you getting sufficient sleep?0

I went through the exact same thing for several months last year. Caffeine and supplements were not helping, and I was getting enough sleep. Doctor couldn't find anything wrong with my bloodwork or otherwise and told me I was very healthy as far as she was able to tell. I tried various energy supplements from GNC, Amazon...none of them worked.
I'm not sure of your diet, but adding carbs and breakfast into my diet really turned it around for me. For most of my life, I haven't eaten breakfast because I'm not hungry in the mornings. For about 5 months last year, I had also been doing a paleo and then keto diet. After months of the low carb diet, I realized it just wasn't working for me and that I was miserable, so I started adding carbs back into my diet. Around the same time, I started having a very small bowl of oatmeal for breakfast every morning. My energy increase was immediate.
Like I said I don't know your situation, but for me, changing up my diet helped tremendously.0 -
Sounds like you might be under-eating.
How much weight are you trying to lose? How many calories are you eating per day? Are you logging your food?0 -
How are your iron levels? You could try eating some foods high in iron (don't take a supplement unless directed to do so by a doctor as too much can be dangerous) like red meat, dark leafy greens, beans, prunes, etc.0

Ohhh iron levels is might be low! Never thought of that, I have had issues in the past with my iron.
It's definitely not from lack of eating or no carbs!1
