Gaining weight on mt first week at gym

Still have no ideal why l gaind 3 kilos on my first week at gym... same eating habits just went to the gym ..l do cardio and strength exercise..

    Thanks a lot .. l was thinking about this but because l'm on low carb diet l thought maybe it is hard to retain water on my muscles due to lack of glycogen... not sure

    I'm always heavier after a workout. Can't figure out why, because some people lose water weight while working out. It evens out over time, though. Guess all of our bodies are wired just a little bit different!

    Yeah don't worry about that, if I stop going to the gym for a while a start again I can gain almost 5 lbs in the first week, it will go away eventually and it's not fat :) So don't worry about it.

    No. You are conflating two entirely different things - storage of glycogen with its associated water and inflammation/soreness from the new training regime.

    Yup, first week of my diet back in Jan 2016 and I put on 4lbs. Soul destroying. Stick with it!
