There is only ONE kind of BACON and it's only made from pork belly.

Nothing else has the right to be called or labeled bacon.

I had three slices of real bacon with breakfast this morning, that's a maybe once every two weeks thing. I've had turkey bacon, didn't care for it, and didn't see many nutritional advantages to it. I didn't know they made chicken bacon.

I don't eat much real bacon any more (or sausages and cured meats for that matter) because of the nitrites in them and secondarily for religious/ethical reasons. My regular choice to go with eggs etc. is soy bacon - I taste tested several brands and the best in my opinion is Morningstar Farms - it's better to my palate than the turkey bacon I've had: nice flavor, saltiness, and crunch.

Pork bacon. I also like vegetarian "bacon", but it doesn't taste like bacon at all. Turkey bacon is revolting.

I stick with turkey bacon at home, usually real bacon for sandwiches and breakfast out. Never heard of chicken bacon.

I don't eat pork (by choice) and bacon in general is just a weird food, IMO. However, my bf and I will be going to a restaurant with duck bacon. And yes, I will be trying that.

Regular old pig for me. I like turkey sausage well enough, but turkey bacon tastes like sadness to me.

I have also picked up lamb bacon at my farmer’s market a time or two. Rich and delicious.

Some folks, and I'm one, believe cured hog jowl belongs in the same class.

I prefer the real thing, but I compromise by eating turkey bacon at home and real bacon if I’m out. For turkey bacon, I find there is a lot of difference between brands. I like Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon better than most of the others I’ve tried.
