Prednisone and Keto

After 3 years on prednisone I have put on about 35 lbs. I am now on steroid injections and have tapered myself down to 2 mg prednisone a day. Some of my moon face has evaporated so I know I'm heading in the right direction. Have tried a dietician, Weight Watchers, Miliary diet and now I am on Keto, which I find suits my taste buds and acccomodates my other health problems, such as one kidney (chronic kidney disease) due to cancer, COPD, gout, Crohn's and polymalgia. With almond flour I can have 1 or 2 quarter size snickerdoodles for 1.5 carbs each and get my need for sweets out of the way. I am supposed to limit my meats, beans, starches due to kidney, so I eat a lot of broccoli, aspargus, cauliflower, cole slaw, salads. My bugaboos is nuts. I need a night time snack and I tend to go overboard. But I've been on Keto a couple of weeks and have lost 7 lbs, gained 2 back, lost one of them. I find I have to plan each meal, in the morning if I want to stay on track. I often change a meal later in the day, but it keeps me thinking about those carbs so I am within 20% of daily goals, and often very close. We'll see how it feels a month from now,
