Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone actually does better on high carb diets, because I certainly am! After all these years told that carbs were bad and made me fat. I believed this. But I had tried low carb diets and ended up having too much fat (calories) and struggling to feel satisfied. On low carb diets I would actually gain weight. In the last 3 months I decided to try a high carb diet and I am never hungry! Potatoes are great! I was always told potatoes are the worst food for losing weight. Really? I eat loads of vegetables, potatoes (of all kinds) , pasta, pizza, bagels, etc. A few very lean meats and very little in the way of high fat foods. I have already lost 10 lbs and I am finding it much easier to adhere to than the Atkins diet or something like that.

I guess for some people, low fat diets really do work, and perhaps for some people carbs make them gain weight, but not for me. I am doing really well and feel healthy on this diet. I suppose its like a slight vegetarian diet, but I am having fish and a lot of Mexican dishes too. I love burritos!

It’s whatever works for your body. I personally do very well on low carb. My boss gets very sick on low carb, but does great on high carb/low fat. I say do what works for you. And congratulations on your success :)
