So back in August I had lost 20lbs of weight, and was 3lbs away from hitting my goal. (5'6 female, was at 138lbs with a goal of 135lbs). I wasn't in the gym at all, I was solely achieving this from counting calories. I wasn't eating super healthy, or weighing my food, just guesstimations and not overindulging.

It was working for me. Then I went on a week vacation to Nashville, and tried all the new foods I could, and never recovered.

I came home and the holidays were rough. I have gained 10lbs back, and now sitting pitifully at 148lbs. Muffin top is sneaking back into my view.

I've finally decided to try to get back on board with calorie counting, eating my 1500cal limit a day, but its tough.

I was going to the gym in December, but only on and off.

So last week, I decided to get serious about the gym. Going atleast twice a week, but preferably three times a week. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. I get home at 6pm, and get to the gym around 6:15pm. This is literally the ONLY time I have open for the gym. So I spend 1.5-2.5hrs there.

The plan is something sorta similar to Stronglifts 5x5, but doing it my own way.
Monday is Chest/Tris. I am starting out at 70lbs on the chest press, and can do that clean 5x5.
Tuesday is Legs. Leg presses, squats (only with the bar for now due to knee injury)
Thursday is Back/Bi's. Deadlifts, etc.

I'm considering switch to the full Stronglifts routine, but I kinda like this routine right now. Each time I spend 15mins on the elliptical before starting the workout.

Hopefully I can do this. I really need something to change, I hate the way my stomach is and you wont catch me dead in a bathing suit this year with this body..

I really hope this will work.. Any females have experience with results in weight lifting? About how long did it take before it was noticeable changes?

We are getting a new puppy in a few weeks, and I am scared that is going to knock our gym sessions out of whack again. Ugh.

Thanks for the vent session.
