Trying again

I've gained 25 out of 100 pounds I lost about 6 years ago. I'm terrified to go back to the 250 pounds I was. But the weight is creeping up on me. I used to run 5 miles a day at least 4 times a week, but since my knee injury that's not something I can do any longer. I tried this app before but I got bored with it quickly. I paid for the premium so I hope that'll help me interested. Hope to hear from the community.

Welcome,
I think these two links are extremely helpful and can help you get the most out of MFP:
http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1234699/logging-accurately-step-by-step-guide/p1
http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p1
The first covers accurate logging and some of the tools in MFP to help you make things easier. The second discusses caloric needs and setting goals. These two posts completely changed my MFP experience and helped me be much more successful, so I hope they do the same for you.

Have you tried a rowing machine? I bought one years ago and it works most of your body but without putting so much strain on your legs. Good luck with your journey.1
