Hurting my back!

I am doing the 30 day shred with Jillian and some of the things she has on Level 1 hurts my back. For example, bicycle crunches and when she has a lift our legs into a 90 degree angle and then roll our butt up. How can I do these things without it hurting the middle of my spine?

    Sounds like you might have some spinal issues going on. I would get assessed by a physical therapist. They can give you a customized program to correct whatever issues they find.

    In the mean time, skip the exercises that hurt and do planks & side planks, and - most importantly - practice contracting your TVA muscle throughout the day. This video explains how - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3p8eXl1OGdM
