167 cals left
Hi all - Im a newbie and am stuck for ideas. I have 167 cals left for dinner and I dont know what to use. Already counted is the rice and chicken but I dont have enough cals left to use a coconut milk for a curry sauce. Any ideas what I can use with the chicken and rice so its not dry...

Franks hot sauce, 1tsp has 0 calories.0

Tin of tomatoes, smushed up and reduced down a bit in a pan, add salt, pepper, garlic and chillis. Yum. Next to no calories.3

Splash of soy sauce, fresh ginger and garlic. Google Asian stir fry.2

Caned soup such as mushroom or tomato.
ETA: use the soup like a sauce! Brown chicken and then simmer it in the soup.
Veges on the side.

How far over would you be if you used coconut milk? Maybe you could spread the overage over the next few days to help you balance out?
(i.e if you end up 200 cals over then maybe the next few days make sure to be at least 50 calories in a deficit to cover?)0 -
It's admirable that you want to stay within your calories, but sometimes things get away from us and there's no reason we can't be flexible. Personally, I would have a reasonable, balanced dinner and just consider if there are any lessons I could apply going forward about how to better manage my calories. You don't want to find yourself starving later tonight or tomorrow and end up overeating to compensate.
But I'm also dying to know... with only 167 calories to use, how does rice fit in there? 3 grains?
*Whoops... just noticed this post was a couple days old. Still interested about the rice thing, though1 -

Oh. I thought she was saying 167 calories after the rice and chicken. If it's included then I'm curious to know myself. Haha.1 -
