Water Retention and Weight loss!

So since started a quite slow office job, one of my daily entertainment is seeing how much water I can drink... Yes, it really is that dull.

I have never seen myself as someone who doesn't drink enough but have started drinking 2-4 liters of water at work, which may sound a lot but I do go to the gym for a heavy workout so it does even out and I have done my research to make sure I'm not drinking too much.

But the day after I stepped on the scale and lost over a pound! I had no clue I had so much water retention.

I'm curious if other people have tried this, and if so how much did you have?

If not - challenge yourself to drink more, I feel better for it already!

That's well within the realms of a normal weight fluctuation and may not be solely down to your water intake. Food, using the bathroom, hormones, sodium, changes to macros, changes to exercise intensity and some medications amongst many other things can affect your day-to-day weight.

My own weight fluctuates up and down as much as 5lbs daily depending on where I am in the month, what exercise I'm doing and what I've eaten and I drink around 3 litres of water daily.

That's a lot of water. I'd be peeing every 10 mins LOL
They do say drinking more water helps shift fluid but any time I have a day of drinking more water than usual it shows up as water weight the next day - maybe I'm an outlier
