Retired 49 year old with ~125 lbs to go. Just finishing week five. Sooner or later it's going to get tough. For sure it will in a couple weeks -- I'm about to start a weekly watercolor class three hours away, and the road is a dangerous place for eating and drinking. If any of you have words of wisdom about staying on track while on the road, I invite you to add me.

Eat before and after the ride.

Thanks for the advice. I'll be leaving home around 1400 and getting back around 0100. The late night drive home will be the toughest.

I work 40 minutes away so I take healthy snacks with me for the ride.( carrots, apple slices, grapes, granola bars, and things of that nature)

Thanks, penny_donner. I think I will have to pack my food like this.
