21 Year Old - 160 Kgs - Long road ahead

Hello All,
First day of myfitnesspal, So i am 21 year old male, about 1.9m but weighing in at 160 kgs, my old man has diabetes 2 and am trying to get in and avoid this, looking for words of guidance of what to do and not to do to ensure i can do this, i will be going to the gym 3 times a week, train for cricket 2 nights and play 1 day a week. I have struggled my whole life and it will be tough to get down to the 100kg mark

Buddy. No process food. Ear what you cook. And cook simple dishes. Try gym 3 times a week, good begginer videos on google. Have at least 2-3 litre of water daily. Stay motivated and you get there within half a year if focused. Relaxed one year nothing is impossible.1

Welcome buddy, my best tip is to remain consistent and don't stress too much about food to start off with. Just make sure you are consistently under or on your calories and you'll lose fat each week.1
